Arts Promotion and Growth!
I’m different and I think different.. so after more than a dozen years working the hand crafters vendor floors.. from Vancouver to Ottawa.. one thing I know- Artists and Artisans need options for outreach that exceed the abilities of, even, the higher end craft markets! I think outside the box and so I am bringing my promotional creativity to bear for your growth!

It starts with a streamed event on Sept. 18th and 19th that will herald the release of Permanente Magnate (see, below).. then through the winter~ as I work on my boat~ I’ll be meeting with and interviewing artists across the country for website placement and print tie- in for the inaugural release of the rebirthed “The Standard Exhibit” magazine!

And March 13th and 14th will celebrate the launch of The Magazine.. I’ll be hosting another MAJOR event~ in person and streamed~ location anchored in Toronto, On. .. a cool spot I’ve found on the corner of Queen St. W and Ossington.

 

Permanente Magnate ~ a Permanent, Project Long publication.. 40 pages or so covering the core concepts of Ocean Cyclist in detail(ish) complete with pages for promotion of artists, artisans, and other creatives that.. need outreach! ~ printed to 20,000u for it’s first run.. it gets laid out ONCE and refreshed annually so, if you are in it~ you’re in it till the end of the journey! And it’ll be distibuted in 100u bundles to an ever- growing collection of supportive businesses~ some that I’ve visited, some behind me.. and some ahead of me to “prime” the audience for my arrival.. all distributions promoting YOU, the artist.. near and far! ~check the Google Doc Preview HERE.. while I am laying it out in Quark.. I’m copying page structures to the Google Doc so you can see where the layout is at, with printing on the NEAR horizon!

The Standard Exhibit ~is a 120 page(ish) Digest Sized Print Quarterly Magazine… that means it’s about 5″ by 8″ in size and comes out every three months.. but we’ll be releasing digital versions in between the print. ~The magazine is being distributed professionally from Vancouver to Ottawa and down in to the USA. It is, also, being snailmailed to self- discovered locations.. all will be listed online shortly. ~The content of the magazine is.. arts, entertainment, and ENVIRONMENT.. along with a healthy dose of cycling related coverages.The goal of the magazine is to be FREE and easy to get.. so those folks who are “overworked and under paid” can access info on sustainable and enjoyable life experiences.. for FREE!

BOTH products are FREE to pick up! Free items have a 2.5x to 3x pick up rate.. add in a QR code Scan- To- Get campaign and readership could reach 4x print run volumes! So, over the course of the planned 4 year project cycle, Permanente Magnate could reach over 1 Million Readers ([20,000u x 24 months]x 3 readers per unit= 1.44M readers.. at a constant of 20,000u per press run and a two month reprint cycle) and The Standard Exhibit can reach over 100,000 readers each print issue with a press run of 35,000 units. I’m still *reeling* from the passing of my best friend of 30+ years.. but I have done some amazing work prepping for the events! I can’t run them or print The Standard Exhibit this fall.. but with the winter ahead for training and finishing my boat.. I see some great things ahead that includes Nautical Departure from Vancouver on this crazy journey! 

Participation is membership based
$25 to be part of the Yellow Pages~ along with all the benefits there of.. or $45 to get graphical placement AND be able to either Show and Sell.. or show and tell during the massive heavy duty cool event that’ll be held March 19th and 20th!

And the Tiny Gallery Tour?
Select artists will be invited to submit proposals for space use in the Tiny Gallery format~ a gallery that measures about 36″ wide, 18″ deep and is secure.. pedistal displayed, as pictured at right. The tour will be following my “tester” or trial run from Thunder Bay through the Great Lakes to Montreal with a side jaunt up to Ottawa via the Rideau Canal System that starts at Kingston and meanders it’s way through my old stomping grounds.. the area I cycled with passion as a late teen ager. I’m already lining up Night Markets and specialty events to draw in more audience participation to Ocean Cyclist.. let’s get you some of that audience interest!

My goal is to get as many people through the door.. as many people viewing the artwork as possible.. so I didn’t go out and ask realtors for available spaces, I looked to Film/ Video Property management companies and Event Space Property Management companies for the potential spaces.. and this one spot emerged as THE perfect spot.
